Charity Work for Congenital Lymphedema: Chloe’s Treatment Journey

We would like to share the story of our newest patient, Chloe, a brave six-year-old diagnosed with congenital lymphedema. After her mother reached out to us through Facebook, our team took action to provide a free Bio Compression lymphedema pump to help improve her quality of life in Cebu City, Philippines.

Building a Safe Home

Update: June 22, 2026

When we first met little Chloe, it was hard to see such a beautiful, happy child struggle with Lymphedema. We questioned her parents as to where she would use the equipment. We wanted a place that would keep the pump and boots safe and dry. That is when her mother revealed that they were living in a tent. My response was one of shock. Why were they living in a tent? Well apparently, last September, the Island of Cebu was hit by a big earthquake and their house was severely damaged. So they had no choice but to live in a tent nearby. Well, I found this unacceptable. So, with the help of my wife's missionary friends, we started to build Chloe's family a new home. It will keep them dry in the upcoming rainy season, and provide a safe place for Chloe to treat her Lymphedema. At this writing, the house is nearly finished.
