Interferential Therapy for Pain Management

How Interferential Stimulation Works
Medium-Frequency Currents
Two alternating medium-frequency currents cross to create a biologically effective spectrum capable of penetrating deeper into soft tissue and bone.
Reduced Impedance
By delivering current in the 4,000–4,150 Hz range, the stimulator minimizes impedance levels in the body, allowing deeper tissue penetration.
Third Current at Pain Site
For example: 4,000 Hz interfering with 4,100 Hz creates a third current of 100 Hz at the treatment site — intended to support ion transport and reduce swelling.
Interferential stimulation does not create strong physical movement and is generally intended to avoid excessive patient discomfort or heat generation during therapeutic use.
